Bormio is located in Alta Valtellina in the Stelvio National Park.

It has about 4000 inhabitants and for its particular geographical position, near numerous alpine passes, (Stelvio, Umbrail, Gavia) and its famous thermal waters boasts an important historical past. Bormio, was in fact already known by the ancient Romans.
